File Specifications

Adobe Illustrator: Any .ai, .eps, or editable .pdf files in CMYK mode, without document bleeds or crop marks unless specified by production team. All fonts outlined or font file(s) sent along with print file. Please include any rasterized images that are linked to the print file. Set up print file at 100% for projects under 227" wide by 227" high. For larger projects set up print file(s) at 1/2 scale or 1/4 scale.

Adobe Photoshop: Layered or flattened .psd or .pdf files in CMYK mode, without document bleeds or crop marks unless specified by production team. All fonts outlined or font file(s) sent along with print file. Set up all print file(s) at 100% at 100-300 ppi.

Print-Ready Files: Flattened/Un-layered files: .eps, .ai, .psd, .jpeg, or .pdf. at full size 100% in CMYK mode. If your files are not actual size, the exact scale must be provided for final output. These files will not be altered in any way.

SignMaster stands behind the quality of our printed graphics, however, you will be responsible for all changes related to reproducing a new graphic due to sizing, layout, color change, spelling, etc.

Logos: For most projects, a vector-based logo is required. Please send a .pdf, .ai, or .eps file with your logo. If you do not have a vector-based logo, we can create one from your .jpeg, .tiff, .pdf, etc. for a $100 fee. We will provide you with a copy for future marketing projects.

Bleed: Please do not include document bleeds or crop marks, they are not needed in most of our production processes. There are exceptions for banner stands, pop-ups, and some display graphics. We will provide specific sizing, bleeds, crop marks, and or templates when necessary.

Fonts: If you have created your print file in Illustrator please outline your font(s) before sending. If created in Photoshop please reference Adobe Photoshop under Preferred File Formats above.

Color Mode: We can work with RGB and CMYK values, but CMYK is preferred/encouraged.

Color Match: If color is critical, the PMS or custom color(s) must be specified. When a color match is required, a color proof will be added to the job for approval.

Storage Media: We accept memory sticks, portable hard drives and flash drives.
